This piece is inspired by the deep connection we feel in our hearts when we encounter something pure, beautiful, and authentic, knowing that it all comes from God.
This piece encompasses a variety of natural elements in one composition. The image that was used for reference is from Federal Dam in northern Minnesota. I chose a narrow wood panel to capture the cohesiveness of the piece and draw your eye vertically to each part of the composition. The rocks in the foreground descend into the smooth blue waters of the lake as the trees and reeds reflect on its surface. The white bubbles and foam from the dam add depth to the piece as they float on the surface of the water.
